Set your practice’s phone number as a starred contact to always allow calls.
1

Open the Contacts app

Find and tap the Contacts app on your home screen or app drawer.
2

Find your practice's number

Search for your medical practice’s contact or add it if not present.
3

Edit the contact

Tap the contact name, then tap the “Edit” button (pencil icon).
4

Mark as favorite

Tap the star icon (⭐) to mark this contact as a favorite.
5

Configure Do Not Disturb

Go to Settings → Sound → Do Not Disturb.
6

Allow starred contacts

Enable “Allow calls from starred contacts”.
Starred contacts are permanently recognized by Android’s Do Not Disturb system, ensuring reliable call delivery regardless of device updates or changes.

Method 2: Allow Repeat Callers

Enable calls from numbers that call multiple times within 15 minutes.
1

Open Settings

Navigate to Settings → Sound → Do Not Disturb.
2

Enable repeat callers

Toggle ON “Allow repeat callers”.
3

How it works

If the same number calls again within 15 minutes, the second call will bypass Do Not Disturb.
This method requires the caller to call twice within 15 minutes. For truly urgent medical calls, Method 1 (Priority Contacts) is more reliable.
